You are beautiful

I was stuck at home for two days straight because of Hurricane Sandy, Luckily nothing happened to my house and we didn’t lose power.I was at home taking pictures of myself because I was bored out of my mind (lol)!I got this really nice shoot of me and I thought I look so pretty just doing nothing...just laying in bed in my pajamas. Sometimes you don't have to be dolled up and in nice clothes to be beautiful :). This should show you that being beautiful has nothing to do with material things and makeup but has to do with just being you and loving who you are on the inside.

Cocktail ring

I love this ring so much! I bought it at forever 21 for $3.80…I love the color and the style of it, it's so pretty (hope my engagement ring is this big....yeah right! Biker jacket

I love this plum biker jacket for fall! I bought it in Georgia at a store called Ross, I have never seen this store in New York unfortunately, and I’ve only seen this store outside of my state (If you have seen a Ross in New York City let me know!). Ross is similar to Marshalls and T.J. Maxx, they might even be owned by the same company…who knows?  Guess how much I bought it for!? (Are you guessing?) It was $19!! I know what a steal!  The jacket is by Therapy and I got it in a large.  I got it one size bigger than I usually wear because my arms are long and it was the only size that didn’t look too short; it fits kind of snug anyway.

I love this book so much! I’m not a fan of the cursing in it but I try to ignore it as best as I can (It’s not too bad). You have to read it!It will change the way you look at food and nutrition forever! It retails for about $12...go out and buy it!!!

My Georgia trip: Baby Madison

She is the main reason my family and I went to Georgia.  Meet baby Madison my new little cousin!  I just want to take her home with me and pretend that she is mine, but I cant.  She is only two days old in this picture, isn't she the cutest baby you have ever seen!

Ex-boyfriends

When you’re in a relationship and you end it because it’s not working out you feel free don’t you? When a guy becomes your ex-boyfriend it seems like they never really go away. Have you ever noticed that when you’re in a happy and successful relationship that is when an ex or even ex’s decides to pop up after several years of not speaking or seeing you.  He claims that he is still in love with you and wants you back.  Has this ever happened to you?

I have realized over the course of my life that women fall in love very fast but get over love very quickly.  All I need is a month to get over a guy I have loved.  I Mean I’m not crying into my pillow anymore, I miss them but I'll be ok eventually …life will go on for me.  For men it’s the totally opposite.  They take forever to fall in love, and they take forever to get over the woman they loved.  Honestly I think they never really get over a woman they loved because true love is a big deal to them.

I’m dealing with that situation right now.  My ex-boyfriend that I dated when I was fourteen is trying to come back into my life at the wrong time.  He claims he’s still in love with me and I have always been and always will be his soul mate (blah blah blah).  Ian and I are very happy and I don’t want to be with anyone else because I love him so much.  I told him I’m already in a two year committed relationship and that there is no way I’m going to leave my boyfriend for him, but he doesn’t get it! 

P.S. He claims that he will win me over eventually and we will be together. What should I say to him (without hurting his feelings) for him to get that what we had is in the past and it is going to stay there? Help!  (As you can see I put my twists back in yay!)

Nails

I bought this pink zebra and jeweled striped nail wrap the brand is Kiss.  It is easy to apply and it last up to a week or more, and you don't have to deal with the time it takes to apply traditional nail polish.  It took me less than 10 minutes to apply them to my nails.  I bought it at a beauty supply store and it was a little over $5.

A closer look at the pretty pink zebra design.  It comes with 18 strips that are different sizes to fit each nail.

All you do is select the size that fits your nail, smooth and fold over the edges, file the excess off, and then you're DONE!  The only thing I would advise is that you buy two packs only because some of my nails are the same size and they only give you one size for a certain nail.  Most people's nails don't go from large to small....some may be the same size....so just take that into consideration.

Bras for all shapes & sizes

Choosing the right bras can be a long and drawn out process especially if you’re as impatient as I am. When you are shopping for bras it takes a little hard work to find the perfect style and fit; but the task eventually still has to be done :).

There is so much to consider when buying the right bras. If you’re small chested you usually want to enhance what you have and make your boobs appear larger. If you’re trying to maximize your size the best option would be padded and push up bras, wearing these pushes your chest upwards making them appear larger. If a larger appearance is not what you’re going for you also have the option of wearing non-traditional bras like bandeau's which are super comfortable.

If you’re chest size is larger you might run into problems of finding the right bras that will give you enough support. You might need bras with under wire for extra support, especially if you get back aches or shoulder pains often. If you are worried about the shape of your boobs it might be best to wear thinly padded bras. The padding can help separate your boobs and improve your overall shape and in turn make you feel more confident.

If you’re athletic then you’ll know that a good sports bra is essential to avoid pain after physical activity. It has been proven that exercising without a sport’s bra can be damaging to the breast tissue, so choosing the right kind is essential. Most sports bras tend to push the boobs against the chest.  This might be fine for women with smaller sizes but might be uncomfortable for those with bigger sizes. Gladly they now have sports bras that are especially made for those with larger chest sizes that lift, separate, and push the boobs against the chest to protect them while doing physical activity.

Look of the day: Wedding

This was the purple dress I wore to the wedding...it's long...a little bit passed my ankles.  I had to take a picture in front of the water fall at the reception venue because it was so pretty.  More wedding pictures coming soon!
